Notice is now given that if any person has any objection to offer against the life or doctrine of these men, they must give that objection in writing to the Session Clerk (Darryl Soh) on or before Friday 14th May. If no relevant objection is lodged, the session will proceed with the setting apart on Sunday 16th May.

In our denomination, one minister and elder from each congregation in the region meet monthly for encouragement, support and to work together for the growth of God's kingdom. This region is called the "Presbytery" and our Presbytery covers the 15 congregations in the CBD and Inner West of Sydney. At the Presbytery meeting last Tuesday Darryl Soh & Ian Halbisch were accepted as "Candidates for Presbyterian Ministry" This is a signnificant step in the process of someone becoming a recognised minister in the PCA. One family from the 6pm congregation were "recieved" as missionaries offically recognised by the PCA. Also, our Presbytery conducts "visitations" to each church from time to...
The closed Elders Meeting will be held on Tuesday 11th August.
The Annual Congregational Meeting will on be on Tues 12th May at 7:30pm in the church building. We will be electing a new Committee of Management and making some important decisions about the future. Papers for the meeting will be available on the website very soon.
Breaking the Silence is the church's policy and process for dealing with and preventing abuse within the church. From time to time it is changed. You can find a copy of the new "Code of Conduct"and "Our Policy" brochures at the back of church and posters on the notice board. All group leaders and elders will be given a copy. You can also find a brochure "Speak out/ Seek Help" that gives you information about how to find help if you need it. Breaking the Silence is now available on the web at www.breakingthesilence.org.au or www.pssd.org.au and click on "Child Protection Unit".
This year, the elders at DPC are hoping to provide a regular summary of what was discussed at Session meetings and inform the DPC church family of the key decisions that were made.
