OPEN SESSION

(1)  The elders, elders' wives and other staff met with the Playgroup Executive (Anna Moss, Lisa Chan, Kirsten Eide and Nicole Madden) to discuss how the Playgroup ministry has gone so far this year and to pray with them.

(2)  The elders, elders' wives and other staff met with Craig and Cathy Tucker to discuss how the year has gone so far for them and to pray with them.

(3)  The elders received a report regarding the status of the Rozelle church plant.

PRIVATE SESSION

(1)  After a trial with no food, the elders have resolved to again serve food at 10:30am morning tea, recommencing on Sunday 13th September, under certain conditions.

After a trial with no food, the elders have agreed to again serve food at 10:30am morning tea, under certain conditions. We appreciate that this decision is not everyone's preference, but would like to thank everyone who has given feedback. Please note that for safety considerations with hot water, food is not to be placed on the table where coffee is served. At the start of morning tea, food will be handed around on plates and not left unattended; after the initial "rush" food plates may be left on the communion table but we do not want children to serve themselves. Please do not feed any children except your own, and please do not feed your own children near the hot beverage table as this will encourage children to congregate there. If you feed your children, you need to adequately supervise them to ensure they don't feed other children. Bear in mind that children receive morning tea at Kids Church. Food at morning tea will recommence on Sunday 13th September. Thanks for your co-operation.

(2)  It was resolved to continue discussion about whether the DPC Weekend Away in 2011 will involve separate Men's and Women's Weekend Aways.

(3)  It was resolved for James Hansen and Warwick Smith to head up an interview panel for the Office Manager position, subject to the outcome of the congregational meeting.

(4)  It was resolved to approve the date of the 6pm church forum to be held on Thursday 24th September.

(5)  It was resolved to investigate the possibility of DPC providing financial support for Deb Chen as a "missionary on furlow" for 2010 and 2011.

(6)  The elders received a report regarding Dave Jacobs.
